While waiting for results on 22nd may 2015

NOW this is one recording I am soooooo happy to have witnessed.

I grew up before Merdeka in 1963 and always listen to RadioSabah from Jesselton. Ha ha, and I have heard this song and knows it is simple 3 chord song with a catchy tune at that time.
Fast forward, this is the first time I ever seen her in person, shook her hands as we went to congratulate Apprilissa. Of course being near to Tuaran, Latifa also came to support Lissa.

And her Kadazan speech is simply PURRfect.

I was surprised too with the better sound of her song live with the modern songkotoun band, because now their acoustic instruments are amplified as compared to the time when Latifa first recorded her songs in RadioSabah ( not RTM at that time)

I am thrilled by their attempt to improvise the oldie with backup singers by the ten sugandoi contestants though I am sure they did not have sufficient rehearsal on this. I could barely here those 10 singers sing their backups what more any harmonising.

Simple song like this should be harmonised by the backups for added oomphs.

Anyway at 72, Latifa can still beat all the songkotoun contestant HANDS down.
Of course her ages of experience counts.
